Lawmakers in Florida are looking to end the government’s habit of taking money from affordable housing programs.
“There’s a sense of pride in owning your own home and that’s what [affordable housing programs] provide,” Sen. Debbie Mayfield (R-Rockledge) said.
Lawmakers have rerouted more than $2 billion in doc stamps.
